Head coach of Samartex 1996 Football Club, Bismark Kobby Mensah says winning the maiden edition of the Western Region Invitational Tournament filled him with a sense of pride and fulfillment.

Bismark Kobby Mensah who joined Samartex in October last year, on Sunday, led the Sameraboi based club to beat Elmina Sharks by 2-1 to lift the inaugural Goldfields Ghana Limited sponsored Western Region Invitational Tournament.

Speaking on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show on Monday, Bismark Kobby Mensah spoke of the pride he felt after winning the tournament.

”Winning this tournament fills me with a sense of pride and fulfillment; fulfillment because I saw my players transmit the ideas, values and principles I represent as a coach. Of course there is so much more we can do and we are under no illusions of the enormity of the task ahead as we attempt to get into the Premier League. But as a coach, when you see your players execute your plan to perfection against quality opposition, you are filled with a sense of satisfaction that money can’t buy,” he said.

Samartex won all five games, scoring eleven goals and conceding just once to establish their superiority over Medeama SC, Elmina Sharks, Karela United FC, Sekondi Hasaacas, Sekondi XI Wise, Proud United and Skyy FC.
