Assin Fosu Municipal Assembly supervises burial of 3 Covid-19 victims

The Assin Fosu Municipality is one of the hotspots for the coronavirus in Ghana. The municipality has recorded a higher number of infected people and some deaths as well.

Burial of three persons who died of the Covid-19 second wave are being carried out by a team of environmental specialist.

Emmanuel Agyare, the Assin Fosu Municipal environmental Health Officer who spoke to Adom News made it know that, the municipality has so far recorded 300 Covid-19 cases with 290 recoveries and 18 deaths.

he added, ”Covid-19 is real and still among us, before today, 16 people were recorded dead in the Assin Fosu Municipal until we had a confirmation of some 2 additional death as well making it 18 from the virus. The burial of the victims are in batches, today, we are burying 9 people in total and the rest of them will be buried later”.

Mr. Agyare made it known that, the second wave of the virus is more dangerous so we should put an effort to protect ourselves by adhering to the Covid-19 protocols since most people have stop adhering to the safety protocols.
