Asamoah Gyan says he will need to work on his fitness before making a return to club football.
The former Ghana skipper who recently launched his LeGyanDary autobiography has been without a club since leaving Legon Cities in October 2021.
Gyan 36, admitted to lacking fitness however, adamant he still has the quality to play club football.
He told the press about his plans to play for Ghana Premier League leader Asante Kotoko.
“I support Kotoko, It’s in my plans to join Kotoko but as I always say I have to be fit”
“You cannot have the talent and not be ready. Talent-wise, I am sure everybody will agree with me but the most important thing is to get back in shape and make sure there is no injury then I can decide,” Asamoah Gyan.
The former Sunderland hitman returned to the Ghana premier league where he joined Legon Cities on a one year deal.
However, his stay at the club was marred by a series of niggling injuries as he made only seven appearances for Legon Cities in all competition
