The issue arose when the Paramount Chief for Upper Dixcove, Obrempong Himah Dekyi XIV, commended his friend the Paramount Chief for Lower Dixcove, Nana Kwesi Agyemang IX for playing a vital role in securing a hospital for the Ahanta Land from the President’s 88 district hospital project. This issue however did not settle well with supporters and executives of the MP, who believed credit ought to be given to the MP for the initiative.
Learning of the dangers, the First Vice Chairman of the party in the constituency, Joseph Baidoo in an interview on a Takoradi- based radio station, said, they respect the powers of the stool, and would do the needful to resolve the misunderstanding. Mr. Baidoo however added that, the MP and party executives had already planned to see the Upper Dixcove Chief to render an unqualified apology on behalf of the supporters whose action caused his wrath.
