President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has implored party men and Ghanaians in general to turnout in their numbers on the Election Day to vote massively for him and his parliamentary candidates. He argued that his victory as anticipated by the masses is never complete until each and every Ghanaian who believes in his presidency and transformative agenda, cast his or her vote for him.
Addressing party people at Kwesiminstim on Sunday 29 November 2020, President Nana Addo stressed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) requires greater numbers for both the Presidential and Parliamentary elections come December 7, so they could effect a wider margin against their major contender; the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“Tomorrow’s week, we are going to the polls. I implore all of you who have registered, to step out and vote. Don’t stay in your homes and assume we’ve won the elections. Until you vote, Nana has not won the elections, same is Prince Armah. So please don’t get complacent. Let us all step out in our numbers and vote massively to secure our victory,” the President noted.
He warned party people to discard any intent of voting “skirt and blouse” on the Election Day. President Nana Addo maintained that the constituency has remain a traditional seat since its creation, and that there is every reason to protect it against any threat to their dominance in the area.
He thus charged party faithful and the entire constituency to vote for the parliamentary candidate; Dr. Prince Armah, just as they will do for him.
“We don’t want any skirt and blouse voting here. It hasn’t been the case in this constituency since we started elections. Your former MPs- Joe Badu Ansah, Joe Mensah, all of them are behind your candidate [Prince Armah]. Vote for him to support me in parliament. Even when he hasn’t gotten to parliament, he is executing a great work for me,” he emphasized.
