For his love for the Western Region especially for women and children, Programs Manager of Skyy Power FM, Micheal Gawu on Thursday donated to the Children’s Ward of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
Having impacted and inspired people through radio for 25 years, Premier Gawu, as he is known in the media circles, was at the facility together with the Management of Skyy Power FM, some Reverend Ministers, and some Queen Mothers with hampers of toiletries and confectionaries.
“I am here not because I am rich but for the love, I have for the kids here,” he said as he presented the items to the Medical Director of the hospital, Joseph Tambil.
Mr. Gawu disclosed that he was moved when a woman could not afford a square meal for her sick child at the ward.
“My son was admitted here, and I was baffled when a woman couldn’t afford a meal for her boy who was recovering, and I had to quickly help,” Gawu said.
He said together with his friends and family they will create a fund for the ward and the donation will be an annual event.
Dr. Joseph Tambil, who received the items, thanked Micheal Gawu for the gesture.
