Information reaching Skyy News indicates that a six-year-old girl has been beheaded by unknown assailants at Dompim-Pepesa in the Tarkwa Nsuem Municipality of the Western Region this morning. The assailants, after cutting the throat of the young girl, gruesomely removed his tongue and heart, and bolted, leaving the lifeless body of the young girl in a bush nearby.
Narrating the story to Skyy News, a source in the town disclosed that the child, in the company of two of his siblings, went to fetch water shortly after their father had left them to attend to other responsibilities in town. According to the other two siblings who were lucky enough to have escaped being kidnapped, the assailant apprehended them when they were about to reach the source of water, and captured their sibling.
As news of the girl’s murder broke, the Police was alerted, and have since conveyed the mutilated body to the Dompim Police station. According to sources, residents of Dompim have mounted a serious search for the assailant by checking every car that is moving through Dompim.
